At 421 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms
that will impact much of Santa Barbara and southwest San Luis Obispo counties,
extending from Cambria to Carpinteria. These storms were moving to the
northeast at around 20 miles per hour.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph, pea size hail, brief heavy
downpours, and cloud to ground lightning. Some rotation is
being detected offshore, with a slight chance of these
storms spinning up a brief tornado over the statement area.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Any waterspouts could come ashore as weak tornados. Minor
hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
