* WHAT…Large breaking waves with dangerous rip currents. Surf
will be 7 to 10 feet through Wednesday, 14 to 18 feet on
Thursday and Friday, 8 to 12 feet on Saturday. Moderate
coastal flooding Thursday morning.

* WHERE…San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
County Central Coast Beaches.

* WHEN…Until 5 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. Extensive flooding
of sandy beach areas is possible Thursday morning, including
Oceano Dunes and Pismo Beach.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…There is a 30 percent chance of surf
reaching 20 feet or more Thursday afternoon and evening. Waves
of this size can cause pier damage.
