* WHAT…For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves with
dangerous rip currents. South facing beaches surf of 7 to 11
feet. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, minor to moderate coastal
flooding is expected near time of high tide this morning for
south facing locations, such as Port San Luis, Avila Beach,
Oceano, and Cayucos.

* WHERE…San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
County Central Coast Beaches.

* WHEN…For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 9 AM PST this
morning. For the High Surf Advisory, until 9 PM PST this
evening.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of sea water is likely, around the time of
high tide, over vulnerable low-lying coastal areas such as
parking lots, beaches, and walkways. There is an increased
risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and
surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury,
wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats
near shore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Due to the after affects of strong
southerly winds and lower atmospheric pressure, water levels may
approach 6.5 to 7 feet near the time of high tide which is
around 530 AM this morning.
